There’s a certain magic about Morocco—a blend of rich history, vivid landscapes, and vibrant culture that’s nothing short of enchanting. When my spouse and I decided to take a trip there, we had no idea just how captivating the experience would be. From the bustling streets of Casablanca to the tranquil haven of the all-inclusive Club Med Marrakech La Palmeraie, every moment felt like a dream we didn’t want to wake up from.

Day 1: Casablanca – Lights, Camera, Magic!

We kicked things off in Casablanca, stepping off the plane into a city that felt alive with energy. After checking into our hotel, we wasted no time diving into the city’s magic. Dinner at Rick’s Café was straight out of a movie (literally). With a cocktail in hand and jazz filling the air, I half-expected Humphrey Bogart to stroll in! The vibe? Pure Hollywood meets Moroccan chic.

Day 2: Casablanca to Rabat – Double the Fun

Casablanca’s highlights? The intricate Habous Quarter, the bustling medina, and the majestic Hassan II Mosque, each stop was more jaw-dropping than the last. By afternoon, we were off to Rabat, where the Kasbah of the Udayas stole our hearts. Think tranquil gardens, stunning views, and a golden sunset that felt like it was painted just for us. Perfection!

Days 3-5: Rabat to Fez – Timeless Wonders

From Rabat, we hit the road to Fez, detouring through Volubilis to wander ancient Roman ruins. Mosaics, columns, and endless history—it was like stepping back in time. Fez itself? An adventure for the senses! We got gloriously lost in the winding alleys of Fez El Bali, haggled (badly) in the souks, and marveled at the craftsmanship in the Al-Attarine Madrasa. One evening, we tried pottery-making. Spoiler: we’re not quitting our day jobs, but it was a lot of fun!

Day 6: Hello, Club Med Marrakech La Palmeraie!

Arriving at the all-inclusive Club Med Marrakech La Palmeraie felt like entering a postcard. The grand entrance, olive trees swaying in the breeze, and the scent of orange blossoms—we were in heaven! Our room in the Exclusive Collection Space was a slice of paradise, with every detail exuding Moroccan elegance. That evening, dinner was a feast of bold spices and vibrant flavors. As we clinked our glasses of Moroccan wine, we couldn’t stop grinning. This was just the beginning.

Day 7: Marrakech – History and Hustle

With a guide leading the way, we dove into Marrakech’s wonders. The Bahia Palace dazzled with its intricate designs, the Saadian Tombs whispered stories of the past, and Jeema El Fna square was pure, chaotic magic. Snake charmers, storytellers, and endless stalls—it was a sensory overload in the best way.

By afternoon, we were back at the resort, lounging by the pool with cocktails. That evening, we gave archery a go. We’re definitely not pros, but we had a great time!

Day 8: Essaouira – Coastal Charm

Essaouira was pure enchantment. The medina’s spice-scented streets, vibrant art galleries, and fishermen unloading their catch at the port—every moment was a postcard come to life. We even snagged a gorgeous handmade rug to take home (and definitely overpaid, but who cares?). Back at the resort, we ended the day with a candlelit dinner under the stars. Cue the swooning.

Day 9: Agafay Desert – Adventures Galore

The Agafay Desert was otherworldly, vast, serene, and totally surreal. We hopped on camels (with varying degrees of grace) and watched the sun dip below the horizon, painting the landscape in fiery golds and reds. Dinner in a luxury tent under a star-filled sky? Absolute magic. It was one of those “Is this real life?” moments.

Day 10: High Atlas Mountains – Culture and Connection

Our final excursion took us high into the Atlas Mountains. The scenery was jaw-dropping—terraced gardens, walnut orchards, and charming Berber villages. Lunch in a traditional Berber house was unforgettable. Our hosts welcomed us like family, and the food? Let’s just say we’re still dreaming about it.

Club Med La Palmeraie – The Ultimate Playground

When we weren’t out exploring, the all-inclusive Club Med Marrakech La Palmeraie kept us entertained. I squeezed in a couple of morning yoga sessions while my husband enjoyed some refreshing laps in the pool. One afternoon, we bonded over a few practice balls on the resort's golf range. Evenings were for unwinding at the bar, swapping stories with fellow travelers over Moroccan wines. And the spa? Pure bliss. A hammam session and massage left us floating on cloud nine.

On our last morning, we soaked in the view from our balcony, reluctant to leave. Morocco had given us so much, adventure, laughter, and memories we’ll treasure forever. As our shuttle whisked us to Marrakech Airport, we made a pact: this wasn’t goodbye. Morocco, we’ll be back. And next time, we’ll bring an extra suitcase, one trip isn’t nearly enough to hold all the magic this country has to offer!
